Two of the Hunter’s leading blogs have achieved honourable mentions in the worlds ‘Top 150 Marketing Blogs’ ranking charts. 

Media Hunter stormed in at 269 and The Marketer broke the ice with a respectable 353.

The ‘Top 150 Marketing Blogs’ ranks the worlds top English-language marketing blogs. Originally launched in January 2007 as a USA-based ranking, the Power 150 expanded worldwide to include all English-language blogs after TechBrew provided the list’s automation in March 2007. Recently it has been taken over by Ad Age one of the world’s leading marketing and media companys.

In true blogging fashion, Hunter’s Best is going to list all the ‘Top 150 Marketing Blogs’ honorable mentions:

Images AUSTRALIA defender Jade North has been named captain of the Newcastle Jets for the new A-League season, replacing retired leader Paul Okon.

"Jade is at an age where the players respect and look up to him both on the training ground and on the pitch," said coach Gary van Egmond said in a statement released by the club.

Npc_logoNSW Treasurer and Minister for the Hunter Michael Costa today said the transformation of the former State Dockyard at Dyke Point into a superyacht and large custom vessel construction facility was a step closer following the approval of a Development Application (DA) by Newcastle City Council earlier this week.

The DA, lodged by Newcastle Port Corporation and Azzura Marine, proposes expenditure of $4.5 million, including the refurbishment of a large component of the existing construction sheds, together with the commitment of additional yacht building and marine infrastructure.

At its meeting of 24 July 2007 Maitland City Council granted development consent for the construction of a $120 million French-themed tourist village resort at Lochinvar.

The resort – St Helena Village – will be built adjacent to historic St Helena House and will comprise a 28 room guest house, 117 tourist accommodation units, a village square, commercial / retail areas, a recreation club, restaurant and function rooms, a village hall, chapel, day spa, pools and sporting facilities.

HvrfHalf of all Hunter businesses with an internet connection have a dedicated website, with 92 per cent of businesses using their site to advertise their goods and services, recent research from the Hunter Valley Research Foundation (HVRF) reveals.

Results from the March 2007 HVRF business monitor survey show that the proportion of businesses with internet access which also have a home page or dedicated site has grown from 40 per cent in 2000 to 52 per cent in March this year. Around one-quarter of businesses without a site intend to get one in the next 12 months.
